Red parrot with open mouth.

I have a red parrot, which is over 7 inches long, and seems in great shape.
However, I've noticed that his mouth is always open. Is that normal?

All the other fish have their mouths closed.

The blood parrots are a 'forced' hybrid (And/or mutation depending on who you speak to) and very often cannot close their mouths due to what most view as a deformity.

Quite normal for blood parrots, not normal for regular fish.
