i have two oscars. one eats hearty. the other takes its time eating and usually the other will eat the food before it gets a chance. ive tried different foods to try and get it to be more agressive with no luck. is a tank seperator a good idea? they are both still young bout 3'' and have been in my tank bout a week and a half

How long has your tank been cycled? Sometimes stress will make a fish not eat for a few days but just to be safe test your water for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.

the tank has been in use for a long time and all the levels are ideal. i've taken this into consideration cause they were purchased a few days apart but i'm still afraid the one might get to the food before the other one then over feeding is the issue just as well as underfeeding... so is seperating them during feeding a good idea?
