So apparently one of my fish decided they didn't like the thing and broke off the bottom.
None of the red dye solution came out just the steel balls.
I vac'd as much out as u could see and LUCKILY 90% landed on moss ball which I took took out and rinsed.
Should I be worried at this point? From what I just looked up these are alcholhol and not mercury and as long as the line was not broken and red I'm good. The balls should just be stainless or steel and most of those are out.

Can I sleep okay. This just happened as I check my tank temp like 30 times a day.

Assuming it's a fairly new one, then as far as I know should be fine. This happened about a year ago in another thread and no problems were mentioned (I think).

There is no need to worry as they don't use mercury in aquarium thermometers. Just remove the debris and call it a day.
