A pistol shrimp?

I'm sure he's a shrimp. He keeps moving In and out oh the hole in the coral.

I wonder if I did a freshwater dip if the would get him out. I just want to make sure it's not a mantis on account of the clicking I know it's one if those two things.

I tried to save it after but I don't think it fared well. But at least it's out of the DT. It took a long time and many pours of soda to get it out. .
