Hello all,
I put this coral in my tank 3 weeks ago and have noticed the tips were getting white and now it has spread down the branch. It is mid tank, is it growing or dying off?? Thank you in advance for any feed back.ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1400983543.433152.jpg

Definitely looks to be dying, not growing. Mine only gets white on the tips for growth. What are your lights, parameters, flow, etc? Any changes in alk recently?

Lights: Fluval Reef led 48 in.
PH: 8.1
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 10
Cal: 460
Kh: 10
Phos: .25
Salt: 1.025
55 gallon tank
Temp: 79
4 wave makers
2 are 240 and 2 are 750.
WC twice a week, 10 gallons at a time.
Tank has been going for 16 months.

Do you have any other sps? I feel those lights aren't strong enough for it, but it should have browned out first. 10 nitrates is fairly high for sps as well. Hmm, your alk hasn't fluctuated recently?

Just started with sps coral 3 weeks ago, and added a few, others are lps and been in 3 months now.Still learning all the names. +1. I would guess not enough light, and nitrate and phosphate being a little to high for sps.

Here's what the tips on growing bn should look like
