Could it be a mushroom? Can you get a closer picture.

Have you poked it? If it feels slimy after poking it is probably a mushroom, spongy it is a sponge, if it bristly or soft it is a type of macro algae.

I zoomed in on the photo and from what I can see, it doesn't appear to be a mushroom. Give us a closer picture if possible and do the tests and observations that are listed previously

I will get another pic. I felt it. It felt like it had a thin slimy coat on it. It also felt kind of hard at the same time but a kind of flexable as well.

Looks like Macro Algae to me. My uneducated guess's would be either Lobophora, or Dictyota. Take a look at the descriptions here Nuisance Algae ID Guide | AquariumPros, Inc. Minnesota

After looking at that link I think it looks more like Dictyota. I think it looks kind of cool. Should I keep it?
