Outbreak!!

12 hrs ago the sand was clean and white now I've got this. What am I dealing with?
 
Hi going by what I can see it looks like Cyanobacteria, I've read somewhere that the colour can range from olive green to red.
 
Wasn't cyano. Had a snail die in the fuge had no idea.
 
Cyano is a type of bacteria which can form because of low flow, phosphates & nitrate. I'm sure their is more reasons for it but they're the ones I can think of.

One snail dying would not cause that much outbreak.You need to cut back feeding and light cycle and allow it to burn itself out.
