what kind of snail is this

hi

visited my favorite lfs, busy as always, so i didn't want to bother them with questions, so i thought i'd bother you guys instead

i saw an inch-long white snail crawl out of the sand as soon as the food hit the water about seven of these badboys came out seconds after it hit. they just had them labeled as sand sifting snails and at 7.99 a pop i didn't want to express to much interest, those bigger bad boys(clerks) can talk me into most anything...

so does anyone have any ideas what they are, as soon as feeding time was over they went right back under...
