I just picked up a couple of turbo snails and one has this dark gray shell on it's shell, just curious to what it may be.

Sorry if the photos blurry, I can take a better one with my camera if needed.

Thanks,

Tom

Could be a new bit of growth covering crack in existing shell maybe... Not a snail expert so not entirely sure

Thanks for the reply! It doesn't appear that way, it is a decimate shell of another creature, i will dig out my camera and take a good quality pic of it.

I know it will be a harmless filter feeder, I'm just curious what kind..

here is an object that was growing on one of my hermit shells.
Never figured out what it was; it's the pink one the others are nirite snails.

Thanks! It is most likely a limpet, now to discover which kind! I'm a bit OCD with identifying what's in my tank!
