Hello everyone,
I am a diy'er and need some advice. I recently came into possesion of a 55 gallon tank with stand. It was built in 94 and needs resealed cause it has a leak in one of the verticle seams. As i was trying to get the top brace off it cracked the top corner about 3" from the top. The way i see it i have 2
Choices . 1- try and patch the corner by siliconing a glass patch in.
OR
2 since its coming all apart anyway cut the glass down below the crack and making it like a 46 gallon. Im using momentive rtv 108 black or ge scs 1200 black. Being at the top it maybe maybe an inch under water
On the repair. Any suggestions?
