Hi everyone, I am going to start a 130 gallon saltwater reef and would like some addvice on lighting? what kind, how long and that kind of thing.
Had a tank in early years and now have time and space. I plan on building wet dry system as the one I did worked very well before. Just would like some info and will need a source for live rock and such when ready. I hope to start up in the next month or two.

well it all depend's on how long your tank is. but the best is t-5 ho or metal halide. but make sure you have at least 5 watts per gal.

Welcome to AA!

The type of lighting you need depends on what types of corals, if any, that you plan on keeping. Also, what are the dimensions of the tank?

As far as the wet/dry filter, those still work and I used 1 for over 15 yrs, but today there are better options. A sump with live rock and macro algae works great for filtration.
