Want to put little hideaway pipes under my gravel for my shrimp and loaches and other fish that like to hide...is that a good idea

You would ever see them again lol its a cool idea but you need to devise a way to be able to see in. Maybe run it with pvc and put the ends on the glass. You could put a single blue led on the back to light it alittle.

It's not a bad idea. I doubt the shrimp will use it if its big enough for fish to get into though.

That's a good idea godfan I'm gunna have to try and do that or get the clear plastic and just leave the top slightly uncovered so I can see in

So I gave the clear tube a try but it was a quick throw together and install lol I like the idea of it but I just need to burry it better

Neat idea. I've seen a pic where a tank had the Mario and Luigi theme. It had pipes like that but they were green like the video game. It looked awesome.

Well so far the fish are enjoying it especially my loach and algae eater I think this was a good idea

I don't know if someone already said this but a good idea would be to get transparent tubes and press it to the front/sides of the tank under the gravel.
You can see in but the shrimp wouldn't realize it was transparent because the gravel would almost surround it, except for the side facing you.
It'd be cool to watch them in it :)
