Cloudy Water For Over A Month

Hi. I have a 5 gallon freshwater tank since November. About a month ago it became really cloudy to the point where I can’t even see the fish. I was told to use Acurel and Optimizer but nothing is working. Also did a partial water change which didn’t help at all. Any advice please? Thank you.

You could be having an algae bloom. Before the algae grows sometimes it displays itself as white water. Check to make sure the tank isnt getting too much light. You can buy sheets of white floss for really cheap, cut a square to fit in your filter and it should slowly pull the algae from the water. No chemicals needed. Is the tank recently established, if so you could be cycling.
