I don't have a reef tank and don't plan on one at the moment. Eventually I'd like to setup a reef tank when I've got the money and space for it.

My question is purely to satisfy my scientific curiosity. In the wild reef, does PH change much between night and day? Do other parameters?

Thanks,
Mike

Yes, and not all ocean water will test exactly the same. It will differ around reefs and coastal areas. But the daily changes are extremely small, the ocean is extremely stable. Even temp change occurs very slowly over a long period.
