10G Planted

[AtoZ Cichlids]

I have a 10 gallon tank in wich I plan on planting! So far I have a large piece of wood, some black stones ( probably wont be in there for long ) and black fluval planted aquarium soil ( More will be added soon ). But I want help in deciding what I want in there as far as stock goes...
I would like shrimp, snails, and a lot of tiny dull schooling fish.
Or maybe Large snails, Few medium fish, and some newts!
Does anyone else have any ideas?
