56 gallon column aquarium lighting

Hey guys I was wondering how much light I'm going to need for a 56 gallon. Do you have any suggestions on light fixtures. I want my tank to have high light, so i can have lots of options for plants. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Good question! I have 2 cheap lights crammed on top of mine, which split my lid. Kind of unusual b/c the top is narrow but the tank is deep, and they don't really make a 30" bulb.

I dont know the length of the tank, put the poster above me mentioned a 30 inch bulb and i know that the website, fishneedit.com sells them
