Yep, pretty much the same as excel (or possibly the exact same?). Too much obviously isn't a good idea, but if dosed properly will be fine.
FWIW, it doesn't actually do anything with co2... it does serve pretty much the same purpose though, just not as effectively as injecting co2.

Yup, it's just glutaraldehyde. I think that it's actually a less concentrated form of glutaraldehyde with only like 1.4%, where as other brands are in the 2%-ish range. I think metracide and cidex are like 2.4%.
