How long and hot should I bake some clay I dug up from my backyard? I tried google but I just found how to clean clay pots.

Hmm, I don't think I have an answer for that. I would search for pottery forums, it's possible that you'll find an answer there.

Ok, didn't know because I want to kill anything in the clay not so much cure it if that makes any sense.

I would think that giving it a good bake at a fairly high temp would work, of course you would have to reconstitute it afterwards.

So 300 degrees for 8 minutes should be good? I would pour water over them so I could mold them how I wanted.
