Ok here goes. I keep having a problem with BBA and was never sure what caused it or how to treat it. I do regular water changes in my 300L tank. I have root fert and liquid fert. I don't have CO2. I have read a few threads on this site and I believe that I may be my own worse enemy. It appears that I over feed and I have my lights on for far to long. I have 4x 54W 10000K T5 lights which I was leaving on for about 10 hours a day.

Since reading the thread I have cut the lights down to about 5 hours a day and cut the feeding down. I used the magnetic glass cleaner and noticed that the disturbance that it caused to the water made a lot of the Algee come away from the plants which never happened before. Is this the start of better times and the back of BBA? Please help.

You have way too much light. Consider reducing it down to two bulbs and adding a carbon supplement, either excel or co2.

I can't seem to find that in the UK.
