I've seen many references online using a stiff plastic mesh to make a moss wall.
At my local craft store I found some 8x10 sheets of this stuff in the sewing/quilting section. But the holes are very tiny... at my local dollar store I found some plastic garden mesh in a roll, Probly about 10 inches wide and 5-6 feet long..it's a little less stiff than the craft store mesh but with larger holes that imo would allow for better light and growth.
But are all plastics safe? For plants, fish, and shrimp?
Is there any way to test plastics for aquarium use?

There's really no way to test to see if the plastics are "safe" for aquarium use, unless you get food grade.

I purchased mine from Aquaticmagic, but reviews from this eBay company have been very bad lately.

I've read that many have successfully used the mesh from hobby stores. I think you will just have to take the risk and try it.
