I have 14 different pieces of crypt lutea and i'd love for them to grow on my driftwood.. can't find anything anywhere about them on driftwood.. i'd like to hear your thoughts..

It is a heavy root feeder and I believe it would slowly deteriorate if not planted. I have a bit of it myself.

I'm switching to sand on Friday so if i put it in the gravel until then would it be okay?

Yes it will be fine. Just be sure to put a root tab or two in the sand after planted.

Awesome! I was worried they would melt. Well i have 14 pieces so if a few do i'll still be ok ;) Thanks!
