Has anyone had experience with dwarf hairgrass? I'm trying to propogate it but I'm scared to divide up the clumps and end up damaging the root system. Does anyone know how to get a good carpet going?

Just cut the runners so that you have a small number of leaves with roots and then plant with tweezers. I'd probably plant at least 5 in a group to try to avoid going super batty. The less time/patience you have the larger you can do the groups.

Be prepared to shout at the tweezers angrily when the plant decides to come back up with them.

Or spank your pleco when all your grass s floating in the filter intake

dont be scared. plant it as thinly as possible. if you trim the leafs down it promotes new growth.
