I've had anubias for many years. Now I found some that comes in cute ceramic pots. It does have something that looks like cotton where the roots would be. I've never kept it in pots before. I always let the rhysome be free.
DO I NEED TO TAKE THE ANUBIAS OUT OF THE CUTE POT? Will the rhysome die and kill the plant? Has anyone tried keeping it in pots? Thanks

It should be ok in pot provided the rhizome isn’t buried in whatever media is in the pot. Roots are fine digging into substrate or media but keep the rhizome off the media so it has water all around it.

Personally I prefer them mounted on some wood or rock but we can’t all have the same tastes, right?
