Any feedback on Carib Sea Flora Max? I just picked up a bag from Petsmart, it was on sale for $9 so I thought I'd experiment with my 5g.

I liked it.. same material as eco complete... just dry (and generally a coarser grain than the most common eco complete, though available in a finer grain).

It's dark reddish. Will I still need root tabs or other ferts?

I didnt' know if I should start a new thread, but I have another issue that I've sort of been expecting. I have a nice case of green hair algae that has begun to grow in the last several days. I probably have too much light. I'm running a t5ho dual fixture with a 65k and 67k bulb on my 29g. No co2, just weekly pwc's with an under dose of API liquid fert. Should I just use one bulb until I get my co2 set up? Will one bulb keep my plants alive and healthy? I have swords, crypts, anubias, java fern, and various stem plants that are doing really well.
