Hardy Plants

I'm sure someone else will come in here and correct me, but I would imagine anubis and java ferns would hold up fairly well in cichlid tanks. Both are easy to care for and hardy. You can plant them or tie/glue them to wood/rocks so you wouldn't have to worry about them digging up the plants. *disclaimer* I have no cichlids, this is just my flawed logic saying this lol.
 
When you say dwarf cichlids, what do you mean? Rams and Apistogramma sp., or small africans? The former will be fine with pretty much all species, while the latter will depend on the specific species, ranging from plant tolerant to 'I will destroy every plant in my 'turf'.
