Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

I currently use a layered substrate of Sand on Mud on Gravel with a UGF on reverse (Only at a trickle) to oxygenate the substrate.

This system works brilliantly and I really like it however - I wouldn't mind getting rid of the UGF and the gravel simply because it will make my Substrate a bit lower in the tank. So what I need to know is if MTS will enter the mud layer of my substrate or how deep the go. If they are going to mess up my layers alot I'll just keep things the way they are.

Thanks heaps.

Thanks for your response - P.S Love your Krynn Avatar!! I loved those games

I thought there might be a minimum death. I'm going to set it up in my QT tank and see how it goes.
