Moving to a new house, I decided to set up a 75 and just move the inhabitants/ plants. This is my first attempt giving any elevation to the substrate itself and I like the look of it! Probably should have made it even higher!

The back and sides are just eco-complete and the front is black sand with a sand “river” stretching back into the tank. The cories already love the sandy sections of the tank.

The glass/sand is still covered in bubbles and all the Java fern is still floating around aimlessly, waiting to be attached to the wood once it sinks. Still more plants and the background to go in, but it’s getting there. Here is the before (the 55 that I basically let run wild!) and the after (the in progress 75.). I can’t wait to get the rest of the plants in and get the Java moss wrangled when the wood sinks.

Probably should have waited to share an after picture once things were more final, but I’m impatient!

current stocking:
8 glo-tetras
6 glo-tiger barbs
8 rummy nose tetras
5 panda cories
3 peppered corries (I think…. They were given to me so I’m not completely sure)
4 otos
4 nerite snails
4 baby mystery snails
A few Amano shrimp

Congrats on your move. Exciting to have an excuse to make something new! And it's about tank keeping here so progressive photos are good. But any show off pics are great too!
