Should I use a uv steriliser on my planted tropical setup

It is not necessary but it won't hurt either if you want to spend the extra money on one. It will need to be cleaned occassionally to keep the bulb sleve clean for good light penetration and a new bulb replacement every year. Personally I run one on my 220g planted but not on any of my smaller tanks.

I've not used one on any of my tanks, although I do plan to get one for a central filtration sump eventually.

Just thinking it will be good for crystal water I have a sump on my trop tank just see how it goes for a bit I suppose
