I've been rather busy, and had hoped to have a new/bigger tank by now (best laid plans...). So I thing things are a bit overgrown...

Also- I have a java fern that has looked absolutely terrible for months--- but I haven't been willing to get rid of it. See picture to see why- it is the most prolific in putting off "baby" plants-

Tank got seriously overgrown, but this time not only w/plants, but a thick coat of green fuzz algae. Amazon sword- 100%coated. Yet it still seemed happy- sending out what eventually became a 4ft. long runner with 7 daughter plants.!

Anyway- was past time to clean it out. Did some rearranging last night and tank is still clearing up. I pulled the old amazon sword. The root ball before I got the pfs out of it was as big as my head!

Anyway- replanted a daughter plant where the big one had beef. We will see how it goes.

Oh- and about the crazy velour-like algae... I have reduced feelings and lights, more regular water changes, and upped the excel on top of the CO2.

Turns some of the fuzz white--- but a lot stayed green.
