Hey guys I don't like owning plants, but the only plant I like owning is java moss. I do have java fern and was told to cut off the brown leaves or unhealthy leaves. Then throw away any piece of leaf that fall off naturally.

Just wondering what I should do with the few pieces of java moss that come off my big java moss ball? They look perfectly fine. Can I put them in a net bag and let them grow without being sucked into my filter?

Most of my moss is completely green, but there are other parts that have a tint of yellow/green. Should I do something about it?

Why wouldnt you just grow the pieces that fell off of the moss ball next to the moss ball in the substrate?

What kind of lighting do you have?

my tanks are bare bottom. I have around 1wpg fluorescent light, not really sure what kind of lighting though.

The green yellow could be the plant dying. Or it could be nothing. Is there any way you could take a picture?
