question about fertilization

i have sand bottom with my tanks and the root tabs take a lot longer to dissolve. should i still put them in monthly or every other month? does anyone else have experience with this? please and thank you!!!

I think 1 1/2 months would suffice.

A lot depends on the brand you use. Do you know the brand of yours? What do the directions say. Many need replacing every 6 weeks but some last up to 3 months.
