Hi,

I've actually got this stuff growing finally in my 5G. I've even found some nice netting (from a bath scrub) to attach it well to rocks.

Question - Does it grow back thicker after you trim it like moss?

Not really. It just spreads exponentially. Keep in mind that unlike mosses, it's not going to root and will slowly grow out of the netting. You'll need to retie it periodically to keep it attached.
