Currently have a 10 gal with some sand, I wanna make it heavy planted. What substrate is best with the sand?

Specialty substrates really only have a good benefit in a heavily planted tank. I had PFS in my high tech tank for a long time until I decided I wanted something darker.

Go with mineralized topsoil. If you arent into DIY then get Aquasoil.

Yeah, it is heavily planted for a 10 and I do wish to have something dark, but if you say just sand will work I shall take your word for it! Thank you both for your responses.
