I figured it was time to move the thread over to planted tanks now that everything is planted. So here it is! The Candy Bin from beginning to end! :)

And then I took the moss out and the tank was empty for quite a while.

Bit of clover yesterday.

Got the Danios out and the Puffers in, check em out guys. :) The more colorful one is Gumball (and I think she's a she) and the darker one with the orange-y belly is Jawbreaker. (pretty sure he's a he)
Amazing little fish, as soon as I put em in they started buzzing around hunting snails and checking out the aquarium. No aggression between these two (yet) and they actually seem to like hanging out together.

Pictures look great but you SERIOUSLY need to get that tank heavily planted or lots more decorations. That is a small tank to house 2 DP's and with it being so sparsely planted I would be very concerned about waking up one morning and only having one breathing. I love puffers but I would not have 2 in that setup...they have a tendency to SUDDENLY change temperament.

That is actually a good point. What are the actual diminsions of the tank. Mainly the length, width, and height.

Judging by the first picture where the OP's hand is in the shot I'd wager it's less than 3 gallons (probably closer to 2). With active filtration and plants (and frequent water changes) the water quality should be fine, it's the aggression problems I foresee that make me concerned.

Sorry for the pause there folks! Had a couple of final projects n' such due these past few days.

In regards to the concerns,

I've added more plants, pics attached, do let me know if I should add more.
The clover is growing quite fast, so it should build up a carpet pretty soon. :)
Also added an Otto, had a bit of a brown algae/diatom outbreak, hoping it'll help clean that up.

I was careful in choosing my DP's, I do have a male and female to help keep aggression rate low.

And the bin is 17.5" x 8" x 9" making it about 5.5 gallons, a little small for them, but I've heard of pairs being kept successfully in a tank this size, so I'm giving that a go. They really haven't exhibited much aggression, just the occasional "Hey, that's my snail. Shoo!" But I'll keep my eye on them and separate if need be.

Thanks for your support guys! :)

Man I'm still impressed with it. It still reminds me of a bin full of mike & ikes. Haha looks great man I have to admit that I keep looking at EVERYTHING as a possible tank. Haha

Haha. Go for it! :) Take the next 10 gallon jug you see and make it a tank! I'm thinking about doing a 5-10gal open-bottom tank next, won't be for a while though.

I think I'll put a few more plants in the driftwood side, maybe some more rotala.

Again, thanks so much, I had a lot of fun putting this together and I'm glad you all enjoy it! :)

Ah, sorry for the absence of updates on my tank! The school year was ending and I lost track of the hobby for a couple of months there. Now that I'm back home I've got a few other tanks to set up, heheh. Unfortunately, the candy bin had to be emptied due to a leak that came about from the journey home from Santa Cruz.

Here are a few picks from when it was up in my dorm room:

Just before the puffers were added

What it looked like most recently, nicely grown in, but had a bit of an algae problem. Was changing the water, so the water's a bit low.

Jawbreaker hangin' out, hoping I'll throw him a snail or two.

The puffers have since been moved to my 10 gallon, and the plants have been split between a couple tanks. Once I fix the tank up, I think I'll turn it into a shrimp tank or maybe put a couple of licorice gouramis in it, heheh. :)
