Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong forum topic, my questions is would I be able to aquire a new 50 gallon (plastic) drum and fill it with treated water(easy life ffm). So that when the duty arises and a pwc has to be done there is no fiddling with chems. Would the water stay "ok" for 3 or so months? Ofcourse I would cover it or keep it in some sort of lightless locker. I have timers on everything. I want to keep it as simple as possible. I hate hate leaving my tank, especially with someone who has never had a tank. Thanks.

I'm not quite sure I'm fully understanding what you want to do but you can fill a drum with treated water but personally I'd have an aerator of some sort in the water to keep it moving for that length of time.
