So i have light bulbs that I am using as aquarium lights and right now around 4 watts per gallon, but the bulbs I am using are more yellowish than I have noticed my other tanks with fluorescent lighting are. Is this a problem?

Do you know the color temperature (it'll be a 4 or 5 digit number with a 'K' at the end)? Thats the only way to help really.

Nope nothing about color temp ik the optimal something like 6500k but nothing on these bulbs. All I can tell is that is a yellowish light

It's very strange that a bulb wouldn't have its Kelvin rating listed on the base. What type of bulbs are they? Screw in? Clip in? Snap in? Generic terms for different connections.

Screw in, and pretty much all screw in bulbs don't have kelvin units. Just daylight or cool white **** like that

Well I'm stupid, it had the kelvins the entire time, I have just been an ignorant fool
