Hello!

My golden mystery snail is in a 2.5 gallon tank by himself and appears to not be doing well. He has been mostly out of his shell and laying on his side for about a day now. At first I thought he was stuck but after tipping him back over yesterday he went back to laying on his side. I just noticed a dent and crack at the top of his shell and am not sure if he just recently did that from falling from the top (He likes to do that sometimes) but he did not have this before. Could he have hurt himself and that's why he doesn't want to move now?! I put him in fresh water to see if he'd perk up in a shallow cup he could stick his siphon out of but he still just laid there and then pulled himself in slightly after a bit. What should I do?!?! Is he dying?!? Thanks for any and all help!! ????

Not much you can do that I know of besides small water changes ad leaving him alone. Stress will kill quicker than anything! Did you ever feed your snails any kind of calcium supplement?

To me it looks like his mantle has collapsed causing him difficulties to stand up. I've seen it a few times on my snails. If it is his mantle there sadly isn't anything you can do for him. How is he now?
