Black and white ocellaris clown fish

Wondering if these guys can be kept in 3's

I saw three of them at my LFS them three in the tank them only getting along great

What do u think?
 
How big is your tank? if it's sub 75G I wouldn't even think about it & even then it's more than likely a bad idea.. 2 will pair up as they mature & then that 3rd one is in trouble.
 
I have one orange and two black and white ones together. I was worried about them fighting but they just did the pairing routine and then were fine. I have had them together for almost 3 years with no problem. They host my overflow and never leave it or fight with each other.
 
Don't clownfish form harems in the wild? By this logic, wouldn't the third clown just be another female or what ever the less dominant clownfish is?
 
Less dominate is the male, but if those other two pair up and don't accept the other he could be in trouble. But from a story above I guess it could work out
