Do I really need a skimmer?

I have a 90g FOWLER pretty lightly stocked (2 Chromis, Yellow Tang, Clown, Wrasse, and the some CUC)
I do weekly 30% WCs.
Do I need to run a skimmer? It's loud and causes salt build up on top of the tank.
Could I just run it a couple days a week?

i think you'll be ok without one.
just keep an eye on things and see how it goes. every system is different, and every aquarium keeper has different feeding/husbandry habits also.

If lightly stocked and 30% PWC`s then you should be OK without one. As Doug said try it and see.

I do get a pretty good return of nasty foam in the collection chamber every 3 days or so.
But okay, I'll trim back the feeding a bit and monitor parameters for awhile.
