Dumb question

I have a really stupid question so please don't make fun of me! We got 2 snowflake clownfish, one of the clownfish died very quickly in QT. A few said it looked like clownfish disease. The other one has been in the QT with treatment and so far no signs of sickness.

My question is can we successfully put a regular ocellaris clownfish in with him or does it need to be a snowflake to pair?

It'll be fine. Might fight a bit, just because they are establishing dominence until one becomes larger and acquires the role of female.
