i got unidentified gunk

hi peeps...

I have had my tank up about a month...added snails and hermit crabs last week. 10 each. Came home today and got gunk on the glass. Can anybody tell me what this and what i need to do? I changed filters before typing this. I have 2 clowns, 2 cardinals and 2 goby's that i just purchased on the way home. Im hoping its okay to add them.

all advice welcome as i am a newbie to this!

It's algae and normal. They make scrubbers and such for this. I like the magfloats personally for it. I clean my glass daily.
