right now i have a slownfish in my 5 G LR tank and its looking a bit lonely..i was wondering wat other fish wouuld go well with him ?

i believe you would have to upgrade to a larger tank to give him a buddy. the bioload would be quite a bit in a 5 gal.

wat size tank do u tihnk i should get?? i dont want nething too big thats hard to clean...and i would like to get some shrimp anemones and keep at couple clowns a possibly one other fish

Wow, I am really surprised T-2. I thought you agreed when I said it should be an invert only and so did other people.

And bigger doesn't mean harder, actually easier, just more money.

Anyway, you at least need a 20 for clown. There are some nano fish that can go in a 10.

Check out some fish and req. here

I am aware that a clown can live in a 10. I just figured they are happier in a 20. I have seen a lot of nano tanks with clowns in a 10 or 12.

I was just making a point that T-2 posted a thread about what to stock in the 5 and I, and many other more experienced people suggested inverts.

Maybe a 10 could be a very cheap upgrade for you T-2? Why dont you post what equip. you are using on the 5 gal.

I have to agree with Mike on this one that a 20 gallon would be better and not that expensive.

I used to have two clownfish in a 20g FOWLR and they were a very happy couple...but I'd think anything under that would be a little crowded...

well in my 5 gallon im using a 50W heater but have many others up to 100 from my dads old aquariums and im using a 20 aqua clear hanging filter but also have others which are bigger and i have a aqua clear powerhead for up to 10 G tanks but i have others as well available. . . .the only thing im lacking is light...in my 5 i have a 10 watt compact cora life but have fixtures available to hold 2 footers and 3s

k ppl iv got a 20 gallon i can use and have added a cleaner shrimp to my 5 gallon and want to convert it over pretty soon......wat additions of equipment will i need for the 20.....i know i need more lighting but how much and also wat kinda filtration

Hi, i have a 20 gallon reef tank and i am using a protein skimmer by lee here is the link (http://www.leesaqpet.com/PICCAT/product_index/item/17100-10/) it works really good for me, but if you got more money then get yourself something with more power. The live rocks and live sand should take care of the rest.

as for lighting I follow a general rule of thumb 5 watts per gallon. that is good enough for SPS. but obviously a little more lighting and you can put cooler looking corals.

good luck!
