Aquarium Advice Newbie
First let me say that I have appreciated the threads on this site sooooo much over the last few weeks as I set up my new saltwater tank.
I recently purchased a 30 gallon tank set-up and it is now the home to some awesome new pets.
I have 5 fish, a fireshrimp, an urchin, and a sand sifter starfish.
The urchin and starfish were accidental purchases in a futal effort to get rid of the brown algae consuming my tank. Of course, after I purchased them, I realized they were no good for that purpose.....however, I so glad I bought them!! The starfish is orange tabby's new BFF...she sits and waits for it to come out of the sand..and is totally mesmorized for hours!! (the tank is safe and secured so the cats can't breach any part of it)
So, right now, I'm trying to endure the ugliness of the brown algae....waiting it out appears to be the best course of action...ugh
