Hello to you all, upgraded from a 10 gal tank to a 38gal all glass tank with an"oak" stand and hat for about 2 weeks now that I picked up from a local store that was closing for $150.00. I have an Aquaclear 70 filter hanging on the back of the tank. The tank has gotten a little cloudy these past few days, cycling I think, also battling the ICH, which killed 5 of my fish this past week. I treated the tank for 2 days with those "alka seltzer" tablets, this has seemed to help no more white dots on the fish. Did a PH test came in at 7.2. Joined the site to learn the do's and dont's of this hobbie and get some good advice from the more experienced people on this site. Thanks in advanced for any advice. Doug

Welcome to the site! :)

Without specifics, the best advice I can ever give to someone new to the hobby is to invest in a decent liquid test kit & dechlorinator, test often & change water frequently, and research before you buy (fish, equipment, medicines, etc.).
