Hi All
new to the aquarium world - I just got my first tank back in September 2020. I was under the impression that you have to change the filter cartridge each month/when it starts to back up but I've done some research and this is a big no no apparently. however I haven't had any problems with the water quality when I've changed the filter in the past.
I have an Aqueon quietflow 10 - from what I've read this has the added bio-holster that contains the filter cartridge.
what I am wondering is does this increase the frequency at which I can replace the cartridge because it has this additional surface area or if I should just stick to rinsing the filter out?
currently I have 3 cory - 4 Molly - 5 Guppies - in a 20G tank
thanks!
