CO2 Reactor 1000 and XP3

Has anyone mounted a Reactor 1000 to an XP3 intake? I'm having troubles, as I notice in the intake where the filler cap is for priming the XP3, it goes too far down behind the tank and can't connect it up unless it's way up above the tank, and use reducers and 1/2 inch tubing. I probably should not have gotten them. Also, the tank is too close to the wall as well. So it would have to be mounted to the side of the tank. Thinking of just mounting it to the side and using a powerhead to drive the reactor.

How bad would it look if you just ran your intake off to the side of your take?

Can't do that with the fixtures I have. No room. Plus I have the same problem, the intake priming cap. That piece is pretty long and if I hooked it up, the cap would be well above the tank. I think I'm giving up on it for now, and may set it up with a water pump at a later date. for now I'll be doing the mist.
