I am wanting any advice on a filter for a 1500 gallon aquarium. It will have koi and will be the feature in the main part of my house. I have 3 sheer descents falls going into it. I know i need to go with a cannister filter, but because of the 3 falls the pressure and gph needed i need to use an external pump with high head pressure. I am looking for advice on a filter that can take up to 6000 gph. I prefer one that is only the filter not one that contains pump and uv. I would prefer those separate.

The filter you need is likely far beyond what you would see suggested in a forum like this. Take a look at the Amano Super Jet filters. They're sexy with the Legendary Iwaki pump AND built by the Japanese.
