filter question

Can anyone out there with an XP2 tell me whether they run quiet? Also, does it come with everything needed to set-up? TIA

I have an XP2. It is very, very quiet. It comes with everything you need. But you may also want to pick up some Ceramic Cylinders to add to the media baskets and don't use the carbon packets that are supplied. Don't need them. It comes with the sponges and the fine pads as well. So if you just pick up some cylinders, you'll be completely set with it.

Also, if you want a little finer filtration, you can even add some filter floss. That will help remove even finer particles.

its' not 100% silent, but all you hear is a ver very very quiet hum...something you'd only notice in a dead silent room, and if its tucked under a cabinet, you really won't hear it.
