Lifetime of RO membranes

I have a 100 GPD membrane in my RO filter, and I usually output no more than 7 gallons of water per week. The manufacturer recommends changing the membrane every 2-3 years.

Since I run so little water through it, will the membrane last even longer than 3 years? If so, about how much? Just trying to save a little $$$.

Get a TDS meter and when you see the TDS start rising it's time to change the membrane.
