Mold on canopy (saltwater tank)

So, I've been on vacation for the past two weeks. My roomie has been feeding the fish, etc. When I came back, the fish were happy... all the parameters were good. I was so relieved.

Then... as I was pulling down the top of the canopy I noticed white/green "puffy" or fuzzy mold. I won't blame anything on my roomie, as I don't think he did anything wrong.

But, I really don't know how to treat it or what I should do next. I've been keeping an eye on it, and it's definitely spreading.

To also clarify, I did remove the glass top. But, I don't feel any over spray... and the area that it's in doesn't have much surface agitation.

What are my options here? Any help would be so much appreciated!

Thank you!

Just sounds like some mold that needs to be scraped off. The humidity from the SW is probably causing it. No big deal just take the canopy off and scrape it off.

After scraping it off, try using a sealant to make sure it doesnt get into the wood.
